Choose the perfect treatment for you: Teeth whitening Teeth whitening At Dubai Surgery we can offer custom-made solutions to improve your smile. You can choose from either specially designed moulds to use in the comfort of your home or have a laser whitening treatment carried out in our offices. If you choose the in-office solution we can fit in with your schedule. The procedure takes one visit and involves spreading whitening gel over the teeth and then treatment by a special lamp to dramatically reduce discolouration. The dentist then completes the whitening with a thorough fluoride clean. With the home option a personalised mould is made of your teeth and whitening gel provided so that you can carry out the procedure yourself at home. Both procedures are safe, simple and offer time-efficient ways to enhance your looks. More importantly with regular care and proper cleaning your bright smile can last for years.
Porcelain veneers Just three visits to our offices will leave your teeth with a brilliant new white look. During the first consultation the dentist will thoroughly discuss what you want to achieve from the veneers and how the treatment plan will proceed. During your second visit a tiny amount of the treatment surface of the teeth will be removed to allow the veneers to be fitted. An impression will then be taken of your teeth. This is then sent to our customisation laboratory where your perfect veneers will be created. When you return to our offices the veneers will be firmly bonded to your teeth leaving you with a confident perfect smile.
Tooth-coloured fillings During our procedure the old filling is taken out and any decay removed. The new impact-resistant porcelain is then applied, set in stages, shaped and then brightly polished. Porcelain fillings are not only more attractive than amalgam but also stronger because they are constructed from layers of resin that are toughened by a special lamp. This strong new seal is highly resistant to bacteria and dramatically reduces the chances of future decay. As the colouring of the filling is tooth-coloured, you can smile and laugh with confidence knowing that you have natural looking teeth.
Porcelain crowns The fitting of crowns is a straightforward process. During your first visit to the dentist you will have an impression taken of the damaged tooth or area to be treated. Using this mould our customised laboratories will then construct the perfect replacement crown to cap your tooth and ensure that the colour matches that of your other teeth. Your dentist will then provide you with a temporary crown. When you return, the temporary crown will be removed and the new tailor-made natural-coloured crown will be firmly cemented into place leaving you with a whiter, stronger tooth that is resistant to decay.
Porcelain bridges A bridge features a replacement tooth (or teeth) made from natural looking porcelain and is normally attached to the teeth either side of the space where the missing tooth was located. Crowns are normally created for the supporting teeth to add extra strength to the replacement tooth. During your first consultation tiny amounts of material are removed from the supporting teeth to accommodate the bridge. An impression is then taken of the area to be treated and this is sent to our special laboratories to create a custom-made bridge from high impact resistant porcelain. When you return the temporary bridge is removed and your new custom-made ‘teeth’ adjusted to your comfort. Once the fine settings are made, your bridge is firmly cemented in place. The result is not just a better-looking smile and greater confidence, but also stronger teeth that prevent future jaw disorders and the danger of decay.
Dental bonding A thin coating of impact resistant resin is carefully applied over the damaged tooth and then specially hardened using high intensity light. Once in place, the coating is carefully crafted to complement your teeth and brightly polished to ensure maximum tooth protection. Bonding is an affordable way of restoring damaged teeth to their former glory and usually only takes one visit, depending on the number of teeth to be treated. It must be stressed that bonding can become discoloured over the years in a similar way to your untreated teeth. Usually the procedure lasts approximately five to ten years. However, it is also important to remember that bonding will dramatically strengthen your teeth, protect them from decay and provide you with a brilliant smile.
Natural-looking implants Implants are artificial teeth that are firmly set in the jaw. They are made of specially toughened titanium that is both safe and extremely strong. These implants are then ‘capped’ with crowns made from high-impact resistant porcelain. During your first visit the titanium implant is firmly set in place. When the gum grows back around the treated area a crown can then be permanently cemented onto the implant. The result is a better looking smile, a return to confident eating and strong teeth that are impervious to decay. As the procedure can be particularly complicated for some clients it is important that you discuss what you want to achieve from implants with the dentist thoroughly. He or she will then advise you if your hopes are realistic.
Porcelain inlays and onlays Using high-impact resistant natural-coloured porcelain the tooth can be rebuilt. During the procedure old fillings are taken out and any decay removed. The new porcelain onlay or inlay is then applied, set in stages, carefully shaped and then brightly polished. High impact porcelain fillings are more attractive than the old filings that used amalgam and stronger because they are constructed from layers of resin that are hardened by a special lamp. This tough new inlay is highly resistant to bacteria and dramatically reduces the chances of future decay. As the colouring of the filling is tooth-coloured, you can smile and laugh with confidence knowing that you have natural looking teeth.
